Hardy,
we booked flights from Cologne to Cluj Napoca, which is even closer to Bukovina than Bucharest. From Cluj we will make it to Suceava or Radautz by train or bus and rent a car there. Leaving the car in one of this towns gives us a good chance for an excursion across the border to Czernowitz. You are probabely right with the not-Bukovinian places. That's the plan. You know everything about plans.
