Hi! Sorry about the delay...but here ae some more answers! I have a report
on the subject titled" Soldaten und Officiere mosaischen Glaubens in der k&k
Armee".(Soldiers and Officers of the Jewish faith) which states that over
300000 served,and gives a list of those who attained the rank of General.
There were not too many such in other Armies in WW1!! It also mentions that
the first Feldrabbiner were appointed to Regiments with large nos of Jews
in 1875. Cornel.
