Dear Friends,
Thanks primarily to the continuing efforts of Noam Silberberg and Eddy
Mitelsbach, I’m pleased to report that the Czernowitz Cemetery
Transcription Project is nearing completion. There are around 3000 burials
remaining to index. Along the way, Noam spotted an unusual monument
recording the death of Dr. Karl Nussenbaum - in a plane crash - in 1938.
Does anyone have more information? See the post on our blog at

Warmest wishes,
Bruce
