Shalom Aleichem was a one - time writer.
All locations names in his writings are fiction.
Probably based on real locations .
There must be a research on interpretions.
 Maybe not.
Guessing is entertaining but not confiming.
I can live with Kasrilevke and Anatevke and
Boiberik , Kire Weidl and more.
  Read and enjoy.

Shalom Aleichem got it from the Shtetl BOBRIKA, where he used to live at
some time. In order to make it easier to pronounce and to sound more Yiddish
than Ukrainian, he changed it in his writings to Boyberik.
It has nothing to do with „bobe."
