I assume we are talking about the same street - Schilgas or Schulgasse. Of
course you are quite right that the Schilgas goes East to West, and then it
starts at the intersection with the Hauptstrasse and Judengasse.
Or you understand that the Schilgas is the Synagogengasse (Schil meaning
Synagoge). If that is the case, then you are right, because this is the way
you would see it from the Ham.
So I am very likely mistaken in assuming that the Schilgas is the Schulgasse
