Kuty and Vizhnitz are twin towns in the Carpats.
The river that divides them is not the Mississipi.
It is the river Cheremosh - tributary to the Prut.
During 1919 it was the border of Poland -Rumania.
In 1939 after the sh collapse the polish HQ ,
Government and treasury were offered asylum
In Rumania and came to Czernowitz.
Then to Constanta to be evacuated by ships
to the UK.
On the Cheremosh they made rafts and floated
them down to the Prut.
Today it is the only sport rafting location in Ukraina.

Ukraina has no other mountains or quick rivers.
At Nepolokoutz the Cheremosh flows into the
lazy Prut and the magic is over.
So is my post.
