Dear Yosef,

First of all sorry for the very belated response, but thank you so much for your comments both on my globetrotter and researcher skills. As mentioned earlier, you made my day!

Well, the repetitions of names, as correctly stated by you, are due to the fact, that people deported to Transnistria received financial aid from different sources. Let's take f. i. Alfred Kittner and his wife Ilse. Each of them received financial support, twice from Herman Marcus and once from Dora Feher; so in total there are six entries for Alfred and Ilse Kittner and as ghetto we notice - quite confusing, since it's always the same place - as follows:

Cariera de piatra [stone quarry] in the names column [?!]
Ladajin (jud. Tulcin)
Cetvettinovca (jud. Tulcin)

The more data will be processed by Lilia's devoted team, the more correlations will be feasible and actual inaccuracies could be ruled out. It's fascinating that for the very first time this database

Excel Sheet version of the Ghetto Fighters Database: http://hauster.de/data/MigdalX.xlsx
Adobe PDF version of the Ghetto Fighters Database: http://hauster.de/data/MigdalP.pdf

allows us to get evidence not just on the deportees to Transnistria but also on the donors from Romania. Therefore I'm looking very much forward to receiving an update of this database from the State Archives of Odesa Oblast.

Warmest wishes to all of you from sunny and fascinating Istanbul, currently exactly from the Tashan Old Bazaar:

So again Kudos to you Edgar. Now a few remarks after the spot-check I've done. Beside people names repeating themselves, the sources are reliable. Every place where they write Cetvertinovca it's - Cariera de Piatra (Chetwertinowka is the village near the stone quarry). All the deportation sites names are more or less correct. Not all deportation sites are mentioned (for example - Tulchin).

The History. The Present." dedicated to the 95th Anniversary "State Archives of Odessa Region, 1920-2015", which will be held in Odessa on September 3-4, 2015. The slogan "Next year in Czernowitz!" has to be supplemented with "This year in Odessa!".
