Rumanians found the Jews unfit for battle units, for a proper bakshish you
would become a reservist. If you had no money you could clean dishes in
the army kitchen.
Another scheme was Riders with exchange: You bought a horse and went to the
mobilization center.
The horse stayed there and you went home,
Every few months you visited your horse, see how it fared.
Under Antonescu I don't know but I doubt that there were any
Jewish prisoners between the many Rumanians taken in Stalingrad.

Jews like all Romanian citizens did serve in the army.
During WW2 ,it made absolutely no difference.
I know only of one Jewish person in Czernowitz, Who during the war was
treated well and had greater privileges And that was because he had
previously been an elected delegate to the Romanian parliament.
