I was having coffee the other day at a kosher restaurant in London. There
were 2 Romanian non jewish women sitting next to me. We got chatting and I
mentioned that my family had originally come from Romania as well. She
asked where, I said Czernowitz. Indignantly she replied that is not
Romania. I replied well it once was but thought to myself you should be so
lucky to have it.
