I disagree with your statement regarding the uniqueness of the city of Czernowitz and there being no other city in the world quite like it.
When it comes to Jewish history, importance, and fame I would rank JERUSALEM as number 1 and NEW YORK as number 2.
Czernowitz, for all it's beauty, history, and culture is dwarfed in size and global importance by both Jerusalem and New York when it comes to the millions of Jewish lives those two cities affected and still do. Czernowitz has sentimental importance from its past glorious and tragic history. Jerusalem and New York are still so important that they remain in the forefront of everyday news and both cities remain top targets for those groups which are trying to conquer them.

I always mention it to people, that to my knowledge, there is no other city in the world about which there is so much written, researched, revisited and spoken about, as is our hometown of Czernowitz. I am 99% sure that there is no other group like ours in the entire world. Czernowitz was a very special city with very special people and a very special, unique language.
