Good Day;
My name is Dave Salzinger and I live in Charleston SC;
I have for the past three years been working on our family tree; my Grandparents (Norbert Salzinger and Maria Stephanie Weinberg) and Great Grandparents (Samson Salzinger and Clara Essenfeldt) originated in Chernowitz; I know that my grandfather (Norbert Salzinger) came to America from Chernowitz; I know my Great Grandparents had five children, four of which emigrated from Chernowitz (Marcel Salzinger, Isidor Salzinger, Norbert, and daughter Mina Salzinger; the oldest, Arnold, was interned however we know survived as we have a letter he wrote to brother Norbert after the war. After that, we know nothing of his life, family, death, etc.;
I know my Great Grandmother, Clara Essenfeldt is buried in the Jewish Cemetery in Chernowitz but have no knowledge of my Great Grandfather;
I am trying to find a way to communicate with my living relatives still in Chernowitz as I may have an opportunity to visit in October 2015; is there an avenue for me to accomplish this? I, unfortunately am not multilingual which I realize puts me at a great disadvantage;
Any assistance would be most helpful;
