Czernowitzers....
From Ruth Gold comes this poem, written by a woman, one Ditta Pomeranz,
who was a volunteer at the orphanage in Bershad, Transnistria during the
war.
It is in German, and as you might imagine, quite beyond the ability of
'Google Translate' to render an intelligible English version. I would
ask that those who have sufficient skills in this area to give it a
read, and if nothing else, provide a description -- a narrative of the poem.
Better yet, perhaps someone would take on a translation?
