I am in the (1) category - really value this as it has helped me to learn so
much about a branch of my family, information which I would not have found
anywhere else. Sadly it seems that almost everyone from the Soewy family
moved away from Czernowitz by about 1900, to Vienna, Stanislavov and Lviv
and possibly to France. I'm still trying to fill in the gaps in their
history. And of course if anyone has any information about Salamon and
Ernestyna Soewy (nee Finkler) I would be very grateful.

There might also be another explanation :
1) Maybe most of the members today, have not lived in Czernowitz themselves,
and are rather in a reading or learning position, meaning they are always
eager on reading the latest contributions, whereas they have less to offer
themselves ?
2) Maybe many members do not check their e-mails every day, or maybe even
every week ? According to their activities and acquaintances with the
computer world ?
3) Maybe many are still on duty, which is for instance my case, meaning that
I work all day long and sometimes would like to answer but can't, because
it's late, I have to drive home, wife and kids are waiting, and then dinner,
bills to pay etc !
