Every day I open my PC to read what's new (and old) on the List. It is
just incredible what richness of experience our List brings us, every day.
Thank you all of you who contribute, thank you Jerome, Edgar, Hardy,
Mimi and all the others.
On Mimi's photographs of the cemetery I remember the names of Metsch and
Wizniter, whose families I met in Curacao in the 60es and later. Edy
Wagner was the uncle of my husband who died an early and tragic death.
And Wolloch, Fleminger,also families I met and we know of course, i.e.
our member, Sascha Wolloch.
Hardy, not all was gone, it lived on in your minds and hearts. My mother
always talked about Czernowitz, the life there, the people they knew,
the war and the exodus to Romania. Exodus from paradise, at least that's
how she described it. My father was less talkative since the war had
left deep wounds in his soul as he had lost most of his family, his
friends, his youth...
And due to the List, not all is gone, an incredible Renaissance has
taken place.
