I think that this conference has a crucial meaning for us.
I believe that the German speaking Czernowitzers Jews are of
a special race , different from all the others,
All old timers of the Ehpes must have noticed this long ago.
Therefore the participation of what is left of this group is vital.
To show the participants what I mean.

This meeting is way more than a genetics meeting. This is why on top of all
the leading clinicians (and a couple sessions which are purely clinical) we
have speakers who are from a large variety of specialties including Jewish
history, ethics, law, geneaology and a modern look at the future
"involvement" of genetics in our lives.
Given the number of list members who reside in Israel (and also in Haifa per
se), one could consider arranging a list meeting or meeting of similar
overlaping/interfacing groups during the conference.
The meeting site has a section in Hebrew, under Registration, which
specifies terms for daily registration for Israeli.
