Lloyd,

It’s way too easy to paint this picture with very broad strokes. Have yo=
u
visited Bukovina/Ukraine? Do you hold the young responsible for mistakes
of their parents? Are there no Ukrainians listed among Yad Vashem’s
Righteous Among Nations
<http://www.yadvashem.org/yv/en/righteous/statistics.asp>? You are
certainly entitled to how you feel but just like I wouldn’t want to be
condemned for atrocities committed by a Jew, I myself wouldn’t feel the
same about all present day Ukrainians (or Germans or Armenians or the
Japanese) as I do about those who specifically committed atrocities. Yes,
anti-semitism is alive and well; not new information. But there are
multitudes of good people out there and they come from all ethnic
backgrounds.

Keeping on topic, I do have to tell you that I’ve been to Bukovina/Ukrain=
e
and I have only good things to say about those I met. Just my two cents.

Bruce
