Do you think, that the German Nazi authorities gave passports to young
Germans to travel to America in 1941, after their arrival from Bukowina in
the first months of 1941...May be only for spying....they kept every man for
the war...

Hedwig....the USA did not enter the war till end 1941 and one of my books
categorically says that is how many of them travelled. Cornel.

Hi Cornel, You are a clever boy, how can you think, that these Germans you
met, would travel in war time to Canada... May be after the war many Nazis
went to USA, Canada and South/America...and lived there under other names...

The interesting fact about these Volksdeutsche is that many of them were not
overly impressed with the Fatherland and moved on to Canada and the US. I
met several groups who had come to visit while I was in Czernowitz. Cornel.
