I just had an Email from Zoya Danilovich, my guide and translator in
Chernivtsi
in which she wrote:
" our municipality decided to restore the old name of one of the streets
located in the former Jewish quarter, the street was called
Synagogengasse,
it was named after Anri Barbius ( French writer ) now it will be
called Synagogue street! "
I also had Email from the Jewish museum in Chernivtsi;
in January for the Shoa Remembrance Day school classes will be
visiting the museum
and will view a video the museum made of me telling about the war
years in Czernowitz.
