An interesting linguistic fact I head no idea about, is that the Austrian
registrar called the women after their husbands name adding an in. H=C3=B6f=
ling
becomes H=C3=B6flingerin, etc. That was, and is still usual in Russian with=
the
suffix na, but never heard of it in German used for proper names.
