I believe that November 15, 1997 can be considered the "official"
inception date of this group, which means that 10 days ago we reached
the age of majority in most jurisdictions (and drinking age and age of
consent in some). It seems that it all started from this posting to
soc.genealogy.jewish:

Sadgorans, Unite!

All JGenners who have an interest in Sadgora (Sadagura, Sadagera) are
invited to let me know, so that we can begin to form a network for
sharing information and experiences.

Thanks to the generosity and industry of Mr. Lance Ackerfeld, the Pinkas
Hakehillot chapter about Sadgora has been translated into English, and
will be e-mailed (by me) to anyone who would like to see it.

With best regards,

Nick Martin

And of course there was also some prehistoric activity. Not everything
