Hi all! Two books that need to be added to our booklist, one in English,
one in German. First, "Trail of Hope" by Norman Davies.ISBN 978147281603-0.
It is the first proper history of the "Anders Army" and the very many Jews
who escaped with the Poles from the Soviet deportations..incl. Bukowinians
and Galicians. Highly recommended!! The 2nd book is in German and published
Sept 2014 by the Vienna Jewish Museum. The title is "Welt
Untergang...Judisches Leben und Sterben im Ersten Weltkrieg". (End of a
World...Life and Death of Jews in WW1). There were over 300000 Jews who
fought for Kaiser Franz Joseph and this book has photos of very many of
them. Also worth it even if you only look at the pictures!! ISBN
