Shelley et al...

I fully agree, it's really addictive and, although German and Gothic German=
type abilities are definitely of advantage, it's perfectly viable even for=
those, who are not German native speakers. Please follow the seven steps b=
elow, by taking the example of "Terner" from Czernowitz:

1. Go to the ANNO Full-Text-Search:
http://anno.onb.ac.at/anno-suche#searchMode=simple&resultMode=list&from=
=1

2. Introduce "Terner" into the search engine. You'll get 6,020 matches, a b=
it too much.

3. Use the filter "Czernowitz" at the left bar and narrow your search down =
to 294 matches. Don’t forget to use quotation marks for connecting/narrow=
ing your search keywords, try the advance search modus too and/or use diffe=
rent additional filters.

4. Open the first entry in Bukowinaer Rundschau, December 1, 1893; page 3 i=
s highlighted.

5. Click on page 3 and look for the entry.

M O S T   I M P O R T A N T (ANNO OFFERS A TRANSCRIPTION TOOL):

6. Click on the TEXT at the right upper corner. You'll get the transcriptio=
n of the article!

7. Use copy/paste + GoogleTranslate in order to get the translation of the =
paragraph you are looking for.

Enjoy the results for your research and please share them with all of us!
