Unfortunately I have seen no emails since this one. Has something changed with the discussion group?

Marius Mircu (1909–2008) was a Romanian journalist and memoirist. He was active in the Jewish community from 1942 to 1986, first handling documents and then setting up and heading the Museum of Romanian Jewish History. In 1987, he emigrated to Israel. It was Marius Mircu, who - as early as 1945 (!) - documented "The Pogroms of Bukovina and Dorohoi".
Matatias Carp's "Facts and Documents on the Annihilation of Romania’s Jews 1940-1944" followed two years later in 1947. Both Marius Mircu's original book from 1945 as well as Carmen Tagsorean's study on Marius Mircu "HE LIVED TO WRITE, HE WROTE TO LIVE – MARIUS MIRCU" are available at our Czernowitz Book Corner now.
