I am sure that everybody knows about Yad VaShem in Jerusalem -it is a
memorial for all the Holocaust victims including Bukovina and
Chernowitz..A lot of the Holocaust survivors ( including my father and
father in law ) wrote personal testimonials about the Holocaust and
it's victims from Chernowitz It is to be found in the library in Yad
Vashem . Once a year on Yom HaShoa -Holocaust Memorial Day -
everything stops for two minutes and everybody stands up and honors
and remembers these victims . As Hardy wrote all of Israel is a
memorial and testimonial for the victims and the Holocaust .
In a way Chernowitz is a testimonial too - in 1955 one of my aunts who
was during the Holocaust in France went back to see "her " Czernowitz
" she came back in tears ,telling that she could only locate seven
old people , from before the war .
Yes, a memorial even a small one , in the city of Chernowitz would be nice .
