Hello morning,
Our team, Mrs. Sara Sweiry, Mr. Nathan Kinsbrunner and I, continued today
the surveys of Jewish Cemeteries in Budinets, Chudey and Berehomet, Ukraine.
Please find below links to individual reports per site:
Budinets:

Chudey:

Berehomet:

The reports also include (in the relevant fields) photos, map with
indication where the picture was taken, and GPS coordinates. Contact
information is there too.
In addition, we have more pictures which I'll send (after our return to
Israel) in separate posts.
All of this will be of course updated into the project website at
http://www.eylonconsulting.com/bukovina/ .
We met the officials/Mayor in each site, told them about our project and
surprisingly - they all were very positive and supportive.
Thanks to our team members and special thanks to Mr. Yochanan Ron-Singer,
President of The World Organization of Bukovina Jews
(
http://www.bukowina.org.il/ ) and Rabbi Menachem Glisnstain, Czernowitz
Rabbi, who coordinated our meetings with the local officials and made the
survey much more useful.
We will continue tomorrow to survey Cherech, Davidivka (probably to verify
that there is no heritage site there) and Banila pe Siret (there is a
cemetery there and I also hope to find the house where my parents lived).
Baruch Eylon
