Dear All,
ASF Germany will this year, like in the previous seven years,
again have a group of volunteers working at the cemetery,
to clear it of invasive and weedy vegetation. Like in previous years,
they are also willing to look for particular graves, take photographs
and if possible, clear the immediate area around them.
If you would like them to look for a particular grave,
please write to Kate Power <post_at_powerfilms.de> and send her:
the name of the person who's grave you are looking for, the
approximate date of death
and if you know it, the location of the grave according to "JewishGen".
I will also be in Czernowitz from the 19th till the 25th of August,
but since I had hip replacement surgery only six weeks ago, I am not
sure
how much stumbling through the cemetery I will be able to do in order
to look for specific graves.
All the best,
Mimi
