I guess you are right.
I have discovered a picture of the ruins of the big Sugar-factory, of the
Canned-food factory and an old picture of the very big Vegetal Oil factory
in Baltzi.
I then understood why my Czernowitzer Onkel , Ing. David Ehrenkranz, a
super- expert in sugar production, lived in Baltzi in 1940-1941.
His daughter, my cousin Vera z''l , told once that her good knowledge of
the Russian language comes from the one year she spent in Baltzi , where
she had to repeat the 5th grade. Now I have no one to ask more questions...
