Subject: [Cz-L] Does anyone know this expression?
I received this inquiry from a friend whose family also came from Bukovina:
'I commented on a book I was reading a couple of days ago to a friend, and
said it's a "mieseh fin hipkeh", meaning it's a long drawn out story that
doesn't seem to come to an end.
She had never heard of the expression. So I emailed my cousin, who also
replied it was new to him and another friend had also never heard of that
expression.
Perhaps it was an expression used in Bucovina. All my older relatives are
gone and there is no one to ask.'
Does anyone know this expression?
Merle
