Thanks, Hardy for the old picture of the Mehlplatz...
Just as I remember from my childhood...The Musikverein , the Hotel Bristol
on the corner of the Karolinengasse, with the old Schmattes....but opposiat
the the hotel were some small shops, ateliers, sandlers, around a
courtyard, inside, after some years, the municipality moved the there the
sellers of old things, so the place was cleaned and ready for the public
for concerts of Chopin and Beethoven...
I remember that the brother of my father had there a small atelier for
repairing watch...,( Uhhrmacher Emil Langhaus.)..
Tempi passati...
