My only connection to all this was the most precious present to our
marriage in October 52, in Tel Aviv. It was a Schneider radio, imported
from France of course. Until my son dismantled it in 1968 when he was 8.
We had guests in the evening and he came from his room and asked if he was
allowed "to open the radio"?
Getting obvious approval he proceeded to interpret it a little too
literally. Then transistors came instead.
Best to you all.
