Czernowitzers, dear friends,
We are faced with an irreplaceable loss. I am deeply shocked and it is my sad duty to announce the sudden loss of Hedwig Brenner, our friend and Grande Dame of Czernowitz, who passed away today at the age of 98 years. Only yesterday Hedwig addressed to all of us a short message and she concluded with the words "Der Mensch denkt, Gott lenkt!" [Man proposes, God disposes!] - Hedwig will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
