Dear Ruth
You are right I wrongly wrote cotton but it is the lesser material from
which tows are made.
About the song that Fred Weisinger wrote: He has the book with the songs
by Mordechai Gebirtig so he can look up the exact words because the
song" Kider Jooren"
was written by him and has more couplets'. If you want to hear it you
can look up the song on U-Tube, it is beautifully sung there.
But I have another question For Fred: Gebirtig wrote also the song
Reiezele. On the internet I have found the text but in my opinion the
text is wrong and I would be grateful to you Fred, if you would check it
for me.
In the song Duvedl promises that he will go every saturday to the
"Kloizel" and she said that she is making for him: and here is my
question, I know that it should be "Nai ich shoin a Taleszakl mit a
magen duvidl"
but in the internet and also CHAVA Alberstein on U Tube sing: Shtrik ich
shoin a Tfilenzakel" which in my opinion is wrong. Later in the song she
says that the man in the synsagogue wil see it he should tell them "this
was made by Reizel".
But every Jew knows that on Shabat you do not put on Tefilin so how
could the men see it, but of course you put your Talit on on Shabat.
So many thanks in advance to Fred
