Dear List Members,
My name is Abraham Enav former Abraham Weinblum, born in Czernowitz in 1939.
I am one of the silent members of the C-list that reads most of the
e-mails that reaches me.
This is the first time I have information to contribute.
My grandfather Noah Weinblum came to Czernowitz from Poland and in 1916 became
a partner of the TRINACO factory that had 400 employees producing
textile products.
Our family survived the WW2 in Czernowitz and we left the city in the
fall of 1944 for Bucharest, and later emigrated to Israel in 1950.
In 1966 I emigrated with my young family to the US where I reside since.
The story about TRICOTANIA has repeated itself in away with the 400 employees
of TRINACO.
My grandfather Noah Weinblum, my father Solomon Weinblum and my uncles
worked feverishly during that period of WW2, to employ as many Jewish people
as possible.
Textile product the factory produced were in demand in war time and
the jobs in the factory offered security to Jewish employees and
their family and where not deported.
