The deportations resumed on the night between June 6 and June 7, 1942.
On the morning of June 7, my fifth birthday, I awoke in a strange bed,
in a strange apartment, where my parents had left me with neighbors
while they hid somewhere else.
Another deportation was, I believe on July 11th, when my family and I
hid in the attic of the same building from which Jerry and his parents were deported.
I lost one of my two friends and playmates.
