Christian...

Outstanding and well-deserved, congratulations to you and all! The article highlights this multi-layered subject from various angles, free from polemic and down-to-earth. Excellent! I assume that you are going to embed the article into your Vanished World Blog. If so, please don't hesitate to repost it to our Ehpes Blog too.

Subject: [Cz-L] Czernowitz Jewish cemetery at Tablet Mag

Dear all,

Suzanne Selengut has published an article about the Jewish cemeteries in Czernowitz and Chișinău on Tablet Mag, one of the most important Jewish online magazines in America. "Jewish graveyards in Eastern Europe are crumbling, neglected, and vandalized. Who will be responsible for protecting them—and their communities’ history?" she asks. Voices in the article are Mimi Taylor - you know her all, Irina Shihova - director of the Jewish museum in Chișinău, Olha Antonova - volunteer of SVIT Ukraine at the clean-up in Czernowitz - and I also added my two cents. List member Sylvia de Swaan and volunteers Lesia Tymchenko and Maria-Philippa Wieckowski appear in the photos of the article.

Best wishes,
Christian
