[Cz-L] Looking for Participants and Contributions for Documentary about Traian Popovici

Dear Czernowiters,

Our family, (descendants of Regina and Gustav Gedaly and my mother Victoria
Gedaly Gruber), has decided to make a documentary film about Traian
Popovici.

In 2008, my family traveled to Czernowitz to be part of the ceremony
honoring Traian. The trip was life-changing and inspired us on a quest to
document his humanitarian efforts. We are desperate to capture the stories
of direct survivors before they're gone and also seeking stories from any
descendants from younger generations.

What better place to start than this list. Many of you were fortunate to be
the recipients of Popovici authorizations and thus spared deportation and
ultimately survived those terrible years. So many like myself are alive
today because our families were recipients of the authorizations.

We already have a few participants and will be heading to Israel in July
2017. Please let me know if you can join us at a gathering of Czernowitzers
some time during the week of July 19 when we will begin the process of
getting to know you and start filming interviews.
