In 1944 the Russians entered Czernowitz in late March.
A week or two later it was Passover, I do not know how,
But my mother succeeded in obtaining Matza Shmura,
After there had been no kind of Matza for three years.
We had a nice Seder with those of our relatives who
Had survived Transnistria.
