The Library of Congress has posted online the 1905 "Orts-
und Verkehrs-Lexikon von Oesterreich-Ungarn" (Gazetteer Encyclopedia
of Austria-Hungary) <https://www.loc.gov/rr/geogmap/pdf/orts/orts.html> .

Scan quality is very high. This gazetter is very useful for town
research. For a key to the abbreviations see
<https://www.loc.gov/rr/geogmap/pdf/orts/01front.pdf> .

This encyclopedia is said to include all places and their political and
judicial division, rail, postal, telegraph and steam ship stations with
designation of the rail and steam ship - enterprises.

Hope you find this useful.

Bruce
