Subject: [Cz-L] Dr. Gali Tibon, Romania and the Holocaust

Czernowitzers...

It's yet again our friend Bondy Stenzler, who drew my attention to Dr. Gali
Tibon's new book "Reshimat ha-Imahot", translated into Spanish and published
under the title "La Lista de las Madres", a novel on the Romanian Holocaust,
which became a July 2017 bestseller in Israel. Check our post at our Ehpes
Blog

http://ehpes.com/blog1/?p=10206

and make sure you don't miss the short interview with Gali. Being among the
alumni of "The Zvi Yavetz School of Historical Studies", Gali's appointment
as CEO of the Institute for excellence in the Humanities and the head of the
educational board of the 'Beit Lohamei Haghetaot' Ghetto Fighters' House
Museum shows the high significance of her works.

The abstract for her Ph.D. dissertation: "The Jewish Leadership of the South
Bukovina Communities in the Ghettos in the Mogilev Region in Transnistria,
and its Dealings with the Romanian Regime (1941–1944)" is just one click
away:

It's hardly surprising that Gali is one of the prominent authors, who
contributed to Dr. Simon Geissbühler's 2016 book "Romania and the Holocaust"
presented as well at the Ehpes Blog posting above.

P.S.: What would be the appropriate English translation for "Reshimat
ha-Imahot" or "La Lista de las Madres" respectively?
