I have not personally met Hardy, but had always loved reading his
sharp, witty messages and comments. One thing that comes to mind is
that Hardy had always been wondering why there are so many list
subscribers, but so few active correspondents... He would ask the
audience what it would take to have more of the list members to come
out and start actively participating in discussions... It is sad to
think that Hardy's death may be just such a catalyst to cause many
normally silent members to come out to express their sorrow and sense
of loss...like myself...
Rest in peace, Hardy. You will be remembered by many.
