A very Happy and Prosperous New Year, the Best of Health. and many good reasons to participate actively in our blog.
Although I myself could not revisit Czernowitz for health reasons, I encouraged two of my (over a score) cousins to do so with one of their children, and provided them with stories and addresses of our grandparents. They returned last week full of excited feelings - it was an inspiring experience. I hope several more of them will follow in their footsteps.
Meantime I am gathering groups of them with their children, and retell the the family history in Czernowitz, with one of my daughters recording it live and transferring to dvd's, to leave in my large family (all saved by my late father who was able to obtain certificates for their parents just in time) all born here, the saga of Czernowitz for later generations. It is a heritage they now cherish.
