My aunt Chaia Ganzach (born Munster) passed away today in her home in Ramat
Aviv.
She died peacefully, 97 years old.
Her Munster family was from Nepolokivtsi (Nepolokoutz), Bucovina. She
studied in Czernowitz, first in Beit Ya'akov
and between 1938-1941 in a teachers' seminar.
She survived Transniestria (Mogilev), returned to Czernowitz with my mother
Pepi Munster for about a year
and eventually all the family but her father Avraham Yitzhak z"l who
perished in Mogilev,
got to Munich and made it to Israel.
She lived in Israel since the late 40s where she worked as a teacher.
She was bright, happy and active until a few days ago.
Generation is lost.
