Czernowitzers, dear friends,
It's 75 years ago in December that the very first edition of "Die Stimme" was published in Israel by Dr. Elias Weinstein on 13-Dec-1944. I still remember my late father Julius Hauster being in a real fever of impatience while waiting for the delivery "his" monthly copy, followed by the glance in his eyes when he finally held it in his hands. Long, long before the Internet, "Die Stimme" was THE connecting link between the Bukovinians abroad, indispensably identity-establishing for the generation of Bukovinian Jews, who succeeded to survive the Holocaust, the ghettos and the death camps in Transnistria as well as the camps in Siberia. This said, I learned with exactly the same enthusiasm of the ONLINE activation of "Die Stimme" for the years 1944-2017:

and last but not least by ourselves, represented by Bruce, Jerome and myself. PURE GOLD for researchers, historians, descendants of Bukovinian Jews, for everyone who would like to learn more on the fate of the Bukovinian Jewish community after World War II.
