Unfortunately, not many vital records can be found for Sadagora:

Perhaps you'll have some better luck using newspaper resources for the area?

Scroll down to IV. Historical Newspapers (and thanks to Edgar Hauster for bringing this resource to our attention!)

Did you catch this from a Sadagora Yizkor book?
https://www.jewishgen.org/yizkor/sadagora1/sad001.html

"Opposite the Baron Hirsch School, a few houses further Joil Schmatnik had a dance hall. Here the amateur actors had their “theater,” the dance school was here, the weddings took place here as well as gatherings."

Has anyone else posted a Schmatnik tree on one of the genealogy websites (MyHeritage, Ancestry, etc.)?

Just a few thoughts!

Bruce

    Hello everyone,
I have been able to track down a relative still using the Schmatnik
name, who is living in Toronto, Canada. My issue is tracking down how
    exactly we are linked.

My great-great grandfather was Schmil Schmatnik. He was born in the
early 1800s and died in the late 1800s. A possible death record I have
for him is dated 1888. Schmil and his wife Mantzi had several
children, but I don't have all the information I need. The best
information I have found from the Czernowitz Birth/Death/Marriage
records and JewishGen show son Joel (my great-grandfather) b 1864,
Morris Schmatnik Lustgarten (unknown) and Josef b around 1868, plus
another brother family legend says is named Issac.

Here's the issue - I cannot confirm the birthdate of any of these
children of Schmil, and my relative is descended from a sibling of my
    great-grandfather Joel.

What other sources can help me find birth records for children born in
    Sadagora in the mid-1800s? Thanks!
