Good morning Jonah,
My great grandmother, after whom I am named, was Camilla Ekstein. She
married Usher (or Asher) Roll and they had two sons: Louis and Meinhold (my
paternal grandfather). Camilla and Usher Roll were born in Czernowitz as
were their sons.
Camilla Ekstein's parents were Honora Hausstein who married Moses Ekstein
Camilla's siblings were: Berta, Paula and Mathilde.
I do not know Moses Ekstein's ancestors.
I was together w my 92 year old father Manfred Roll, at Honora Ekstein's
grave at the Jewish Cemetery in Czernowitz in 2018.
Let me know if you think there is a family connection? I too would love to
find out more.
