Czernowitzers...
This is a new and essential update to my post "Requiescant in pace! - Rest in Peace! - Ruht in Frieden!" from the year 2016:
https://czernowitz.blogspot.com/2015/12/requiescant-in-pace-rest-in-peace.html
We researched all online available publications from Bukovina for the section "The Dead of the Year..." and discovered what we were looking for:
Bukovina Post: 1896 - 1897 - 1898 - 1899 - 1900 - 1901 - 1908
Bukovina Review: 1896 - 1897 - 1898 - 1900 - 1901 - 1903 - 1904 - 1905 - 1906
Czernowitzer Allgemeine Zeitung: 1903 - 1904 - 1906 - 1907 - 1908 - 1909 - 1910 - 1911 - 1912
Czernowitzer Tagblatt: 1907 - 1908 - 1909 - 1910 - 1911 - 1912
An Obitaury Listing for the years 1896-1912 covering over 2,700 deaths is available at the above link or is just one click away:

WHY IS THIS DATA SO IMPORTANT? - Some of the dates of birth of the deceased date back far before 1856 and thus before the beginning of the registry office entries. Genealogical gold!
ARE THESE ALL DEATHS IN BUKOVINA? - No, of course not, but only those about which the respective newspaper reported. Often one death case appears in several publications.
ONLY NAMES, NOTHING MORE? - Far more than „only“ names! If you have discovered a name and/or a date of an ancestor, you can assume that there is a more detailed report in the respective daily issue.
WHAT TO DO IF I HAVE DISCOVERED THE NAME OF AN ANCESTOR? - In this case it is worthwhile to research ANNO, the AustriaN Newspapers Online Archive in detail, by using ANNO's extremely accurate search engine:
https://bit.ly/3bbnpIU
WHAT IS NEW IN THIS UPDATE? - The 1909 and 1912 volumes of the Czernowitzer Allgemeine Zeitung (CAZ) and all volumes (1907-1912) of the Czernowitzer Tagblatt (CT) are NEW.
ANYTHING ELSE?- Don't miss the Obitaury Listing for „Der Tag“ for the years 1932-1935, with direct links to the respective articles:

Not a bad idea to do family research in Corona times, isn’t it? Good luck and we are looking forward to your success stories!
