Hello All, and Gut Yontiv!
As some of you I know will recall, I have for the past two years been =
writing my first novel - originally titled Edelweiss - set in the city =
we all know as Czernowitz.
The title has changed to Night Lessons in Little Jerusalem - a combined =
reference to the city's two =E2=80=9Cnicknames=E2=80=9D of Little Vienna =
and Jerusalem on The Prut.
It is a work of fiction, but inspired by my father=E2=80=99s wartime =
memoirs. Several of you have contributed generously to my extensive =
research.=20
I hope you all feel it does justice to our collective memories of the =
marvellous city where some of you lived, and from which so many of us =
are descended. I hope it also adds faithfully to the never to be =
forgotten memory of the terrible events that befell it.
If you are interested to obtain a copy, it can be ordered online. If =
you like it, please tell all your friends! Because, thanks to the awful =
Coronavirus, it could not be coming out at a more challenging time. All =
the bookstores are closed!
