I've been a member of the Czernowitz discussion group for the past decade
and have found much insight in your shared stories. My great grandparents
(Schiffnagel) moved there from Lipcani to raise their two orphaned
grandsons (Gluzman) after their daughter died in the influenza epidemic.
This, of course, is a time of anxiety and challenges but also one which
produces excellent opportunities for those who wish to explore online
Jewish resources and continue their family and cultural research.
After being involved with last summer's IAJGS convention here in Cleveland,
OH, I began marketing on behalf of the Posen Library of Jewish Culture and
Civilization. As a family history researcher I=E2=80=99ve discovered many
fascinating stories and depictions within the realm of the Posen Digital
Library database.
The excerpts of translated memoir, philosophy and stories helps add flavor
to my understanding of ancestral communities of the Ashkenazi and Sephardic
Diaspora. I encourage my fellow researchers to register and check out the
riches of www.posenlibrary.com
May you each experience a safe and meaningful Pesach!
Pamela in Cleveland where it's SNOWING!
