Dear Moshe,

all army records have to be at the Kriegsarchiv (war archives) in Vienna: https://www.oesta.gv.at/ueber-uns/abteilungen/kriegsarchiv1.html
I would recommend to check the online tools of anno and the upper-austrian archives first
anno.onb.ac.at
www.landesarchiv-ooe.at

Good luck, best, Benjamin

Does anyone have suggestions on how to find any information about the military record of Moses Reder? Last, but certainly not least, if anyone has any information about family Reder from Czernowitz, please contact me. Please note that this is NOT the same family as the one that the artist Bernard Reder comes from. It is possible that the two families were related but I am not aware of any direct and immediate connection. My grandfather was a trunk maker (Kofferraumbauer).
