Johannes Czakai comments about the historical errors raises some important issues.
I'm one of the hundreds (if not thousands?) of 1st generation born (from Czernowitzer parents) after WWII in America. I have no living relatives that lived in Czernovitz and Bucovina prior to WWII other than my 94 old mother (with fading memory), a former Transnistria orphan survivor. As such, the EHPES, JewishGen, MyHeritage, Christian's Vanished World, Die Stime and the BBoB (Bucovina Band of Brothers: Bruce, Edgar, Jerome and many others) amongst many sources have been my elder's "surrogate" to my ancestral city, region and more importantly the "cultural" idiosyncrasy (I used to jokingly label my elders as German speaking yekes or "shmete torte" generation). Nevertheless, I am aware that in Christian's title, the latter described a Vanished World.
In my limited knowledge (I've never visited the region), today's Chernivtsi is culturally and to a large extent as far apart from my elders' Czernovitz. The streets my elders walked and buildings they visited may have changed some as time passed but names and occupants did change. And by occupants, I mean with no connection with former occupants before WWII.
CJCRO's work and other unnamed groups in preserving our Czernovitz history is priceless (My GGparents as well as many relatives are buried in the Cemetery). I have no words but praises for the volunteers.
In closing, while Mr. Czakai's comments merit review, it is clear that future content vetting is recommended not only for the described historical reasons but to preserve a legitimate link with our Vanished World of "Shmete" elder's generation.
